Runs in your browser. What you enter here is not sent to our server.

    How to convert an image

    1. Add JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or BMP images.
    2. Pick the format you want.
    3. For JPG and WebP, adjust the quality if needed. For JPG, choose the colour that replaces transparent areas.
    4. Download the converted files.

    Which format should I choose?

    • JPG for photographs that must open everywhere. No transparency.
    • PNG for screenshots, logos and graphics with sharp edges or transparency. Files are larger.
    • WebP for websites: smaller than JPG and PNG with transparency support, and readable by all current browsers.

    Questions about the Image Converter

Why does my transparent PNG get a white background as a JPG?

JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels need a colour. White is the default and you can change it with the background colour option.

    Can I convert animated GIFs?

Only the first frame is converted. The result is a still image.

    Is there a limit?

Up to 20 images at a time, 25 MB each. Because the work happens on your device, very large images depend on how much memory your browser has available.
