Text Compare (Diff Checker)
Paste two versions of a document, list or piece of code to see which lines were added and which were removed.
Runs in your browser. What you enter here is not sent to our server.
How to compare two texts
- Paste the original into the left box and the changed version into the right box.
- Optionally ignore differences in capital letters or in spaces at the start and end of lines.
- Select “Compare”. Added lines are marked with a plus and a green background; removed lines with a minus and a red background.
The comparison works line by line, which suits code, configuration files, lists and text with one sentence or paragraph per line. A line with a single changed word appears as one removed line followed by one added line.
