QR Code Generator
Type a web address or any text to get a QR code instantly. The codes are static: they contain your content directly, never expire and do not pass through our servers.
Your QR code appears here as you type.
Runs in your browser. What you enter here is not sent to our server.
How to make a QR code
- Enter the link or text. Include
https://for web addresses so phones open them directly. - Choose a size. Use SVG or the large PNG for printing.
- Download the code and test it with your phone camera before sharing or printing.
Getting codes that scan reliably
- Keep strong contrast: a dark code on a light background. Inverted or pastel codes fail on some scanners.
- Keep the white margin around the code. It is part of the design.
- Shorter content makes a simpler code that scans from further away.
- Higher error correction survives scuffs and small stickers but makes the pattern denser.
- For print, a common rule of thumb is a code width of about one tenth of the scanning distance.
Questions about the QR Code Generator
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code stores your text itself, so it keeps working as long as the link it points to works.
Can I change the destination after printing?
Not with a static code. If you may need to change it, point the code at a page or redirect on a domain you control.
Can I track scans?
The code itself has no tracking. You can add campaign parameters to the link and view visits in your own analytics.
