How to use the Sort Lines Alphabetically
- Paste your list with one item on each line.
- Choose an order. The sorted list appears straight away.
- Open More settings to remove duplicates or to treat capitals separately.
- Copy the result.
How the sorting works
Alphabetical sorting follows your language’s rules, so accented letters sort next to their plain versions, and numbers inside text are compared by value: “item 2” comes before “item 10”. Choose Numbers when each line starts with or is a number, such as prices or scores.

How do I randomise a list fairly?
Choose Shuffle. Every possible order is equally likely. Select “Shuffle again” for a new order.
Can I sort and remove duplicates together?
Yes. Tick “Remove duplicate lines” under More settings.
